animated ephemeris
A downloadable game for Windows
This ephemeris uses approximations for planetary positions published by JPL in 1992. It's different because you can watch the position animate in motion which is tremendously helpful. At least different from what i've seen.
It's usually within a degree or so, maybe a bit more for the outer planets. Currently mercury is notably off probably because the calculations do not account for interbody forces in the 2025 lineup.
This win32 app is designed to be operated with the arrow keys. Closing the app creates a .dat file to save the native information (freeware version saves one birthdate, incentive luxury version saves 8 birthdates.)
I became interested in astrology later in life and discerned its value by looking at the dates of past events. I have never been interested in allowing other people to interpret anything for me, but retrospectively, i find synastry (aspects between two natal charts) to be insightful concerning relationships.

If you use this tool much, do check it against non-approximate ephemerae to develop your own sense of its accuracy. And fly casual. epistemological solipsism is my favourite outlook utility, wel weed fr :)
not really feedback yet but i'm u/ling the incentive luxury version since it works here. i don't know why i think it's a good idea to impede utility for a resultant trickle but i guess that's what we do. just badger me or about my policy and it's teh h/u holmes.christ there's no way to make a free version and a paid version without having the paid theme dominate the page i'm free.
